Artist Spotlight: Rigel Bergonio

Rigel Bergonio is a freelance Graphic Designer & Illustrator. She is also the Founder of Asians of Creation, an online platform aimed to empower and celebrate Asian creatives and their culture. An advocate for mental health, Rigel has also written a published interactive journal titled Spring Self Care. Her artworks have been showcased in several exhibitions and published on covers of literary journals. Her illustrations span a range of subjects including self-care, her Pilipinx heritage, social issues, popular culture, travel, and navigating adulthood.

“These pieces celebrate my Pilipinx heritage. Being a second-generation Asian American, I still keep my heritage as close as possible by absorbing as much culture I can that my family has taught and exposed me throughout my life and I even got to visit the Philippines a couple of times to see my family that still resides there. I want to share my culture with others in a fun way through my designs.”
